USF SUNDOME

BCI Integrated Solutions provided the design/build for the complete sound system in the 9,000 seat Sundome arena, home of the USF Bulls. The schedule of the project required the system to be designed, built, installed, and commissioned in a 90-day time frame.

The system features a twelve speaker main cluster with an additional twelve speakers filling in the upper balcony area for capacity crowds. The design allows for flexibility in rigging; the main cluster can be hung in the center of the arena for sporting events or be relocated to the end of the arena for staged events. Further, the main cluster can be raised out of the way for events that do not require its use.

The speaker frame and hardware were designed by BCI and meet all OSHA requirements. Quick release points in the frame allow the cluster to be reconfigured as required for cabling and rigging.

The USF Sundome system utilizes 24 EAW speakers and 15,000 watts of QSC power amplifiers.
