NATIVITY CATHOLIC CHURCH
BCI Integrated Solutions provided a professional audio-visual system for Nativity Catholic Church’s 1,500 seat sanctuary renovation. Nativity parish has the largest membership in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

The audio system features a thirty-two channel Yamaha M7-CL digital mixing console. The console provides the church with multiple presets for various types of services and ceremonies in the space. Settings for various services can be recalled instantly utilizing the consoles touch-screen, facilitating the transition between services that have various style and music requirements.
The sanctuary is stunningly beautiful and it was critical to provide excellent audio and video while preserving the aesthetics. In order to minimize the visual impact of speaker clusters BCI placed the stereo left/right and subwoofer speaker system behind acoustically transparent projection screens. The speakers were aligned and tuned to provide even sound throughout the sanctuary. Additional speakers were added in the alcoves and the narthex to provide coverage for those areas. The main sanctuary sound is also broadcast to the bride’s room and choir rooms, which have independent volume control.
The projection system allows for PC and video signals to be routed to the twin LCD projectors on either side of the altar. Images are projected on to acoustically transparent 16x9 format screens. An Extron presentation switcher/scaler facilitates the switching of video sources while maintaining the highest quality video signal flow to the projectors.
All of the control equipment is housed in a wooden roll-top desk that secures the gear while preserving the beautiful aesthetics of the space.
