UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA
JOINT MILITARY LEADERSHIP CENTER
C.W. Bill Young Hall is the home of the Joint Military Science Leadership Center and the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of South Florida. BCI Integrated Solutions was contracted to provide the audio-visual systems in this four-story high-tech facility.

Martin Audio speakers and Tandberg videoconferencing systems are integrated throughout the building. Crestron panels allow for control of these systems as well as video switching, playback and recording. In the building and beyond, professors, instructors and students easily communicate with one another utilizing audio and video switching, videoconferencing, and multiple display systems.

The first floor features classrooms and two medium-sized lecture halls. The lecture halls utilize UPX Crestron systems to integrate Windows XP control into the room’s audiovisual control system, including Christie projectors and motorized screens. The UPX also provides annotation functionality, allowing the user to make handwritten notes and display them to the class.
The second floor is home to the main auditorium and four smaller partitionable classrooms. The five rooms can be combined to provide a large auditorium for increased capacity. Three Christie projectors and motorized screens provide the main auditorium displays. Christie projectors and motorized screens as well as multiple flat-panel displays are included in the partitioned classrooms. Instructors utilize Crestron touch panels to control the display and videoconferencing systems. A separate control room for the entire space allows for an additional control position for audio, lighting, and videoconferencing during large events.
Residing on the third floor is a conference / briefing room featuring an interactive touch screen overlay plasma display, Tandberg videoconferencing technology and Crestron control.
A large conference room is housed on the fourth floor, featuring Crestron control of a 65” plasma display, video conferencing and surround sound system.
